What a blessing to live in a free country. America may not be what she ought to be, but I am very thankful to have been born here. As we get ready to celebrate a very important holiday for our country I think we ought to remind ourselves that it is God who has made us free. It was God that inspired and encouraged our founding father’s in their struggle for freedom. The reason the pilgrims set sail in the first place was for religious liberty. And through out our nations rich religious (Christian) heritage there have been many men and women who wrote and spoke concerning liberty and freedom and used the Bible as their inspiration. We can never separate the founding of America from faith in the Creator and dependence on His written word. Thank God we live in America! Thank God we have the Word of God! Thank God for the Christian Heritage of our nation.
